Swap your vodka-raspberry for tequila and find the nearest dance floor. Ditch the boring date, along with your inhibitions and moral codes. Have another tequila. Hey Now are in the building.
Beginning as two guys with the same idea, Hey Now is the combined musical (and Jedi) force of DJ Hansom and Rose. Hey Now deliver genre-hopping, groove-inducing, speaker-scrambling sets with all the charm of a boy band and none of the dance moves (well maybe some). Their riotous shows have earnt Hey Now slots alongside dance music heavyweights Basement Jaxx, Boys Noize, The Presets and more, and have expanded to the notorious interstate Hey Now Raves, which routinely smash the roof off Brisbane’s number one club, Monastery.
Never content with the norm, Hey Now have established themselves as kings of the remix, having taken the proverbial clag and safety-scissors to artists such as Calvin Harris, Art vs Science, Snob Scrilla, Grafton Primary and more. In 2009 devout followers and a great mixtape won Hey Now the Inthemix/Future Music mixtape competition and saw them fly to Brisbane to play the main stage at the festival.
In recognition of their outstanding contribution to Music and Fun Times, likenesses of both Hey Now members were carved deep into the cliff-side of South Dakota known as Mt Rushmore - twice.
