It wouldn't be surprising to say you hadn't heard of them. They are the perennially subterranean. Constantly tinkering and recording in their DIY studio, they prefer to work on their creations rather than see the sun. The dark corners of the internet have chattered and mused at their early recordings but really Sydney outfit VALAR have remained a hidden treasure.

Until now. 

VALAR have chosen to emerge from the dark places. Their latest offering "The Belly of a Whale" was released 19th of August at the OXFORD ART FACTORY. 

This self produced and recorded EP shows the diversity of this young group of musicians. 

Its grand dynamic ballads juxtaposed with previously released upbeat electronic tunes will have you flawed. 

They are a band that simply cannot be missed live.
